Around this time last year my momma and I went to Smiths in heber to go grocery shopping. As we were walking in there were two little kids holding two german shepherd puppies outside in the freezing cold. And us being the animal lovers that we are we have to stop and take pictures of them and pet them. And just out of curiosity we asked them how much they were selling them for. The older man said $5o each. Mom and I were just shocked. But of course when I said,"Mom we have to get these dogs!! PLEASE!!" She says, "No we can't take care of two puppies Rachel. And there is no way we can just get one and leave the other so no. Sorry." So we walk in the store and we are talkin about the puppies and we can't seem to forget about them. So mom calls dad and tells him about what we found. So she said go out and there and see if there still there. So I run to the door and yes! there still there. So I ask how long there going to be here and the guy said not to much longer. They were from vernal and had been driving back and forth so this was there last trip. So I run inside to tell mom and we talk about them more. After we are done shopping and pay for our food we walk outside and the puppies are still there. So of course we go back over and play with them a little bit more. Mom asked the man what he was going to do with these puppies if he didnt sell them today and he just shrugged his shoulders and looked away and mom look at me horrified and said," Ok how about you follow us to our house and we will show Dad and see if we can take them." So the man agrees and brings the puppies to our house. We take them inside and bring them to dad who was napping. They woke him up and he just fell in love with them. So we wrote the guy and check and sent him on his way. We had no idea what we were going to do with two 6 week old puppies when we already had two dogs. Mom and I kinda started to panic at that moment. But after a couple weeks we grew to love them more and more everyday. We named the dogs Lucy and Jude (after my favorite Beatles songs of course!) And your probably wondering what happened to Lucy? Well my mom had a client who was looking for a girl german shepherd puppy that she could name Lucy to give her husband for christmas so that she could be Linus'(thats there shepherd dog they already have) friend. Linus and Lucy, Get it?! So my mom immediately told her about Lucy that we had and agreed to give her to this lady. Of course we miss Lucy but Jude is our pride and joy!
